1. General

This Return and Refund Policy applies to the online German courses offered by Universum der Sprachen, including individual lessons, group courses, and lesson packages.

Statutory consumer rights, including any applicable statutory right of withdrawal, remain unaffected by this policy.

2. Individual Lessons

Purchased individual lessons that have not yet been used generally remain available as credit and do not expire.

Refunds for individual lessons that have already been purchased but have not yet been used are handled in accordance with the applicable contractual terms and statutory provisions.

If an individual lesson is cancelled or rescheduled within the applicable cancellation period, the lesson will not be charged or deducted from the available lesson credit.

In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, the lesson may be considered completed and deducted from the available credit.

3. Group Courses

Group courses take place according to a fixed weekly schedule.

Individual sessions within a group course generally cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, or made up individually. If a participant is unable to attend a scheduled session, the corresponding lesson generally counts as completed.

If a group course cannot take place due to an insufficient number of participants, Universum der Sprachen may, depending on the circumstances:

  • provide a full refund,

  • transfer the participant to another course or date, or

  • offer an alternative form of instruction.

4. Teacher Unavailability

If an assigned teacher becomes permanently unavailable, the remaining unused lessons may either be transferred to another qualified teacher or refunded in accordance with the applicable contractual and statutory provisions.

5. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, Universum der Sprachen may attempt to process the payment again.

After three unsuccessful payment attempts, the relevant service or contract may be suspended or terminated.

Any purchased but unused lessons will be handled in accordance with the applicable contractual and statutory provisions.

6. Statutory Right of Withdrawal

Consumers may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online, provided that the applicable legal requirements are met.

Nothing in this Return and Refund Policy limits any statutory consumer rights.

7. Refund Requests

Refund requests may be submitted in writing by email to:

info@universum-der-sprachen.com

Where possible, please include your name, the service purchased, and the reason for your request.

We will review each request based on the applicable contractual terms and statutory provisions.
